La artesanía es el espejo de un pueblo, de una raza, de una nación; significan historia y tradición; son expresiones milenarias que nos narran un sinfín de aconteceres que dan razón de la riqueza cultural que nos compone y la naturaleza que nos rodea; son voz, arte y esencia, manifiesta en materia; es identidad y orgulloso linaje de quienes la elaboran.
Con el propósito de preservar y fortalecer su dinámica, fue creado el Instituto Estatal para el Fomento de las Actividades Artesanales en Campeche (INEFAAC); organismo descentralizado de la administración pública Estatal que promueve la coordinación de esfuerzos institucionales y traza estrategias en favor a la atención integral hacia este valioso sector de población de nuestra sociedad.
Crafts are the mirror of a community, of a race, of a nation. They represent history and tradition, a millenary expression that speaks of an endless number of events that give meaning to the cultural richness that shapes us, and the nature that embraces us. They are voice, art, and essence made matter; they are identity and a proud task of those who produce it.
To preserve and strengthen its dynamics, the State Institute for the Promotion of Handicraft Activities in Campeche (INEFAAC) was created. The Institute is a decentralized body of the Public Administration that promotes the coordination of institutional efforts and outlines strategies in favor of comprehensive care for this valuable sector of the population of our society.

Somos una institución descentralizada de la Administración Pública del Estado de Campeche, sectorizada a la Secretaría de Desarrollo Económico (SEDECO) y cuyo objeto social establece el rescatar, preservar y proteger el patrimonio cultural y artístico de las actividades artesanales a través del fomento, fortalecimiento e impulso al desarrollo del sector.

We are a decentralized institution of the Public Administration of the State of Campeche, sectored to the Ministry of Economic Development (SEDECO). Its corporate purpose is to rescue, preserve, and protect the cultural and artistic heritage of handicraft activities promoting, strengthening, and enhancing development of the sector.
We encourage artisan culture, dignifying artisans and giving them their legitimate place as guardians of our heritage. Their existence is the living voice of where we come from, of millenary roots that show the greatness of our culture.

It is trascendental to generate spaces for constant training and updating techniques and methods. At the same time, to promote certified artisan programs that provide new lines of action for professional development. These will lead to the preservation of ancestral artisan activities and the production of innovative and emblematic handicrafts.

The production of handicrafts touches all fields of human development: cultural, social, educational, and socioeconomic. They are a bridge in time, using traditions to forge the future of artisans. Las relaciones públicas que se dan en estos espacios fortalecen los vínculos con los distintos públicos presentes: escuchándolos, informando y persuadiendo para lograr consensos y apoyos en acciones presentes y a futuro.
Craft fairs are an important cultural and tourist attraction that, in addition to potentially fulfilling an identity function, integrate productivity and folklore. The public relations that develop in these spaces strengthen the links with the different audiences present: listening to them, informing, and persuading them to achieve consensus and support for present and future actions.
